TripleHeader Features Plenty of Potential Upsets: WNBA Parlay
Side With the Underdogs This Stacked Friday Night
It was cherry-picking with the last WNBA parlay as the Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun easily won their matchups. But we’re going the other way here and snatching not one but two underdogs for this packed WNBA Friday night.
Game Previews
Liberty Look To Mystify the Mystics
Game Time: 7 p.m. ET
Point Spread: New York Liberty +3½ (-110), Washington Mystics – 3½ (-110)
Moneyline: New York Liberty +135, Washington Mystics -155

The Washington Mystics (0-2) are being pegged as betting favorites over the New York Liberty (3-0) despite their current records and despite being plagued by absences. The Mystics have bottomed out thanks to missing an All-Star lineup featuring G/F Elena Delle Donne (back), Myisha Hines-Allen (overseas), and free-agent acquisition Alysha Clark (foot).
C Tina Charles and G Natasha Cloud have stepped up to carry the team’s load but it has been ugly so far. And they don’t get a break when the red-hot Sabrina Ionescu and her Liberty come to town.
Replace Elfrid Payton with Sabrina Ionescu and the Knicks are a 50 win team.

All the talk is on Ionescu, who became the youngest WNBA player to record a triple-double. Combined with the new addition G/F Betnijah Laney, they are scoring 46 points for New York who leads the league in 3-pointers while giving up the fewest. Underdogs they may be, they’ll take out the struggling Mystic and move to 4-0.
Pick: New York Liberty +120
Sun and Mercury Get Hot in Rematch
Game Time: 10 p.m. ET
Point Spread: Connecticut Sun + 2½ (-110), Phoenix Mercury – 2½ (-110)
Moneyline: Connecticut Sun +120, Phoenix Mercury -140
It’s the anticipated rematch between title contenders as the slight faves, Phoenix Mercury (2-1) look to avenge their only loss against the Connecticut Sun (3-0) and they’re favored to do so. Both teams blew out their opponents since and are two of the top three offenses in the WNBA (among teams with at least three games) thanks to their three-point shooting.
The streaking Sun are led by F/G DeWanna Bonner’s 20.3 points. She has hit more threes (9) than she has turnovers (8) while F Jonquel Jones is also on fire with 19 points, 10.7 boards, and six 3-pointers.
Both teams hit the same amount of threes in their matchup, but the Sun were much more efficient and outrebounded the Mercury. Those second-chance points will continue to be a difference-maker here and that favors the underdog Sun.
Pick: Connecticut Sun +120
The House Always Wins in Vegas
Game Time: 10 p.m. ET
Point Spread: Los Angeles Sparks+ 8½ (-110), Las Vegas Aces – 2½ (-110)
Moneyline: Los Angeles Sparks +260, Phoenix Mercury -320
C Liz Cambage and the Las Vegas Aces (1-1) are on a mission following their loss in the WNBA Finals. They split their opening series against their rivals, the Seattle Storm, and are heavy chalk to beat the Los Angeles Sparks (0-1) per the WNBA betting lines.
The Sparks lost their franchise player, Candace Parker but still have the Ogwumike sisters leading the charge as they combined for 30 of the Sparks’ 71 points in an ugly loss. They’ve got another tall task in containing Cambage and the Aces, who were top-two in both offense and defense last season.
Expect a more spirited effort from the Sparks, but they’re outgunned here. Cambage should have a field day here. Add the Aces as a parlay sweetener for a whopping 6-1 return.
Pick: Las Vegas Aces -260
Parlay: Liberty, Sun, Aces +603
