Las Vegas Goes After Seventh Straight Victory

The league-leading Las Vegas Aces are the favorite in the WNBA odds as they try to extend their winning streak to seven and remain unbeaten at home when the Dallas Wings visit on Sunday.

The Aces have won each of the last six games by double figures since they suffered their last defeat on July 7 at Dallas (80-78). Las Vegas tops the league in scoring (94.1) and is shooting 50.3 percent from the field – almost 5.0 better than anyone else in the WNBA.

A’ja Wilson is averaging 24.5 points on 66 percent shooting from the field during Las Vegas’ current winning streak and is even in the live betting for the league MVP – behind only New York’s Breanna Stewart (-125).

The Wings have won six of their last seven after rolling to a 90-62 victory over the injury-plagued Washington Mystics on Friday. Satou Sabally recorded a triple-double in the win with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Aces are -350 in the Las Vegas odds to win the WNBA title and Dallas is +4000.

Wings On The Rise In West

Dallas has a strong hold on second place in the Western Conference behind the Aces after Sabally registered the first triple-double for a player in a Wings’ jersey and the second in franchise history.

Sabally averages 17.6 points, 9.3 boards and 4.0 assists overall for a Dallas team ranked third in the WNBA in scoring (86.0) and first in rebounds (39.8). Sabally boasts 12 double-doubles to go along with the triple-double.

Arike Ogunbowale leads the team in scoring (21.9) and Natasha Howard is tied with Sabally (17.6). Teaira McCowan registered 18 points in the win on Friday to push her season mark to 12.0 per game to go along with 8.9 rebounds.

The over is 4-1 in the last five Dallas games at the sportsbook and the Wings are 5-0 ATS in the last five contests against the West.

Las Vegas Coming Up All Aces

The Aces have scored at least 97 points in five of the six games during their current winning streak, led by Wilson.

The former South Carolina standout is averaging 20.7 points, 9.5 rebounds and a league-best 2.2 blocks, but she has been getting plenty of help.

Kelsey Plum is averaging 24.1 points over nine games this month to increase her season mark to 19.3, while Chelsea Gray boasts three double-doubles in the last seven games and almost had four with 22 points and nine assists in the 107-95 win at Chicago on Tuesday.

Jackie Young is also a big factor for Las Vegas, averaging 19 points and draining 48.7 percent from 3-point range..

The over is 5-1, according to WNBA lines, in the last six Aces games and 15-9 for the season.

Wings vs Aces Head-to-Head

Dallas owns one of the two wins over the Aces this season and had a lead going into the fourth quarter before losing 89-82 at Las Vegas on July 5.

The Wings have not won at Las Vegas since 2018, but did have a win at home against the Aces last season.

Howard averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds in the two meetings with the Aces this season and Crystal Dangerfield has added 12.5 – well above her season mark (8.1).

Young is averaging 21.5 points and Wilson 20 against Dallas in 2023.

The under is 5-1 – including 2-0 this year – in the last six meetings if you’re betting online.

Wings vs Aces Picks and Prediction

The Aces have had plenty of rest for this one, but Dallas has tested them in both meetings.

Las Vegas is 6-0 since losing Candace Parker, who is out indefinitely with a foot injury, but could also be without forward Alysha Clark (facial laceration).

The Wings may be able to keep it close, coming off a 58.7 percent shooting performance on Friday, but the Aces have been so tough at home (11-0).

The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings at Vegas and the number may be hard to reach again.

The Wings are listed at +450 in our Las Vegas wnba odds. This means that if you wager $100 on Dallas, you have a chance to win $450. The Aces are -600, offering a chance to win $17 on a $100 wager.

The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Wings a 18.18% chance to win, with Las Vegas at 85.71%.
