Orlando: Dreadful Offensive Line
The Guardians have been the worst team in the league by a wide margin. XFL lines have Orlando at +1400 to win the championship. The sportsbook’s second-highest odds are the Vegas Vipers at +900.
Orlando has scored only 12 points in back-to-back games. Plus, the Guardians allowed at least 30 points in two consecutive games. No other team has allowed more than 23 points. The horrid offensive line has been the biggest problem. It allowed seven sacks in Week 1 vs. the Roughnecks, followed by four allowed sacks in the first half against the San Antonio Brahmas.
This has completely erased Orlando’s skill position players. The receiving corps is solid with good depth, led by Cody Latimer’s 89 receiving yards. Running back Jah-Maine Martin has been a bright spot at 4.8 yards per carry, but the Guardians have not been able to ride the run game with big deficits.
Most rushing yards this season
Kalen Ballage – 107
Abram Smith – 99
Ryquell Armstead – 88
Jah-Maine Martin – 87
Jordan Ta’amu – 77— XFL Stats (@XFL_Stats) February 28, 2023
The O-line must step up against the Renegades, who posted three sacks and seven tackles for loss in Week 1.
Stumbling Offense Hindering Renegades
Unlike the Guardians, Arlington figures to be a contender. In fact, Las Vegas XFL odds have the Renegades as the fourth choice to win the championship (+650). Thus far, they have relied on their defense, which had two pick-sixes in Week 1.
The offense is still finding its way. A quarterback change could be imminent with Drew Plitt’s underwhelming play. Arlington’s 245 passing yards are the second-fewest in the XFL. The Renegades also have the worst run game in the league, ranking last with 126 rushing yards at 2.5 yards per carry.
Arlington pulls a favorable matchup this week against the league’s worst defense. Orlando’s secondary has been a big weakness as it surrendered 272 passing yards in Week 1. Plus, the Guardians have five turnovers through two games. The Renegades’ defense should be able to force some turnovers once again.

Worth Betting ATS?
Now that we’ve checked the latest XFL news, it’s time to make our sports betting predictions. Orlando has been horrible, there’s no hiding that. XFL lines have the Renegades as 8½-point favorites.
The XFL has had only three games decided by double digits. The Guardians could finally make an aggressive effort to utilize Martin, who is one of the league’s best running backs. Orlando will finally compete with a cover on the road.
Worth Betting on the Totals?
Online gambling for the XFL has been challenging thus far. There were many unknowns about the league. However, one area is evident – this is a defensive league. Offenses have been sloppy with many turnovers and few points. The under should be a safe bet as the Guardians are averaging 12 points.
