Pirate 21 is a fantastic variation of the classic game of blackjack. Blackjack is one of the most popular online casino games of all time, so it’s good to see a new version. It approaches things slightly differently, which makes this a very enjoyable way to battle up to 21!
Pirate 21 is a variation of blackjack. As with all blackjack games, the goal is to get closer to 21 than the dealer. 3 hands can be played at a time, so if you’re a skilled player it is possible to beat the dealer 3 times at once.
Players can also place a side bet on matched cards being dealt. This isn’t linked to the main game, so it doesn’t have to be placed. Also, if the main bet loses and the matched bet wins, it will still pay out. The standard game pays out 1:1 for a winning hand. If you manage to win with a blackjack, it will pay out 3:2.
Match Bets
Suited Match – 9/1
Non-Suited Match – 4/1
The side bets are essentially the bonus features for Pirate 21. You bet on whether or not the cards will match. If they match and are the same suit, it pays out more than if the suits don’t match. This isn’t a required bet, so if you don’t want to place a side bet, you don’t have to.
The lowest stake for Pirate 21 is set at $1. This is a solid low stake as it means lower-budget players can easily begin playing the game. For players with a higher budget, the maximum stake is $100. This is another solid level and means high rollers can enjoy what the game offers.
Pirate 21 makes it very simple for online casino players to get started. All it requires is for the stake to be set before the cards are dealt. Then, like in most other card-based casino games, the instructions have to be carried out in relation to the game. Buttons appear for this, making it easy to follow on screen.
Pirate 21 is a variation of the popular casino game of Blackjack. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck, and the objective is to have a hand value of 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over.
To play Pirate 21, players must first place their bets. The dealer will then deal two cards face up to each player, including themselves. All face cards count as 10 points, Aces can be worth either 1 or 11 points, and all other cards are worth their face value. Players can choose to hit (take another card) or stand (keep their current hand) until they reach a hand value of 21 or decide to stand. Players can also choose to split their cards if they are dealt a pair of the same value. Once all players have made their decisions, the dealer will reveal their hand and payouts will be made according to the game’s rules.
In Pirate 21, players can only see one of the dealer’s cards until they have made their decisions. The dealer must hit on a hand value of 16 or below and must stand on a hand value of 17 or above. If the dealer and a player have the same hand value, it is a push and the player’s bet is returned to them. If a player’s hand exceeds 21 points, they bust and automatically lose their bet. A hand value of exactly 21 is called a Pirate 21 and pays out at 3:2. If a player gets a Pirate 21 with five cards or more, it pays out at 2:1.
