Aces vs Wings Game Preview, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Wings Eager To Snap Losing Streak
When it comes to ending a losing streak, facing the star-studded Las Vegas Aces might not be the best way to proceed.
Dallas has dropped its last three games and has won one of its first five home games. The losing streak started on June 5 with a six-point loss to Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has the best record both at home and on the road. It is no wonder that the WNBA predictions has the Aces as the team to beat in 2022.
The Aces should be without Jackie Young once again. The good news is that head coach Becky Hammon said Young is making progress in her return from injury.
Las Vegas (+125) continues to have the best odds to win the WNBA championship according to the sportsbook.
Former No. 1 Pick has Plum Assignment for Aces
Former No. 1 overall pick Kelsey Plum didn’t start a game during her first four seasons in the WNBA. When Hammon got the head coaching job with Las Vegas, it didn’t take her long to change that.
Plum has started all 13 games she has played this season. She has scored in double figures each time. Plum has gone from averaging 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 25 minutes per game heading into this season to putting up 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 33.6 minutes per game. She is already approaching her career-high for most 3-pointers in a season.
Plum was just 1-of-7 on 3-pointers the last time out so she will look to bounce back from a rare off-shooting performance. She still leads the WNBA with 41 made 3-pointers. That has opened up room for A’ja Wilson to score in the post. That was never more evident than the last time out when Wilson had 35 points and 11 rebounds.

Plum had 32 points the last time the Aces played the Wings.
Defense an Issue for the Wings
It wasn’t that long ago that the Dallas Wings were sitting pretty with a 5-2 record. Since that time, the Wings have certainly not been soaring particularly on the defensive end of the floor. Dallas has allowed 89.8 points in the five losses since that time. The lone win during that stretch came when the Wings played a Seattle team playing without Sue Bird and Ezi Magbegor and held the Storm to 51 points.
The tailspin started when Dallas allowed Connecticut to score 99 points followed by a 93-point effort by Los Angeles. The Wings lost the last three games by a total of 12 points. That included a five-point loss to Seattle in the Wings’ last game when leading scorer Arike Ogunbowale played just 15 minutes before being ejected for kicking a ball into the stands.
