Kentucky Looking To Continue Streak
Kentucky has won the last three game against Louisville, but the Cardinals enter Saturday’s game as the ranked team.
College football odds have the Wildcats at -3 favorites following a close loss to Georgia, which could be good enough form to continue their streak against Louisville.
Cardinals Could Take Flight
The Cardinals suffered a 31-16 loss two weeks ago to Clemson, but we like the way they bounced back with a 25-10 win over North Carolina State.
It was a gritty win at home, but now they face the Wildcats on the road and that’s a much harder task.
It’s why the sportsbook has the Cardinals as +3 underdogs despite having a better record. If the Cardinals can muster the same energy as last week, they’re a good chance of scoring the upset win.
However, recent success hasn’t been there against Kentucky. They have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five games, including a 52-21 thrashing at home last year.
That needs to turn around if the Cardinals are to have any chance of keeping this game close.
Wildcats Needing Bounce Back
The Wildcats have lost three of their last four games, which isn’t ideal form but it’s better than it looks.
Losing to Georgia 16-6 isn’t a bad effort, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Limiting Georgia to 16 points is a Herculean performance and they could stifle the Louisville offense.
There were no excuses for losing to Vanderbilt, but the Wildcats like to battle in the trenches and this is where the game could be won.
“After a tough loss a week ago, getting them motivated to compete at a high level (was our priority),” coach Mark Stoops said. “It took a lot of digging and soul-searching and the competitive nature of our players to reinvest and commit and to put in that kind of effort. We came up short, but the effort, the preparation was there.”
They are 7-4 ATS and the -3 line is generous. Las Vegas lines could have had the Wildcats around -6 and it still would have created interest.

Louisville vs Kentucky Picks & Prediction
The Wildcats played so well last week and we think that level of play continues against Louisville.
We’re happy with the -3 line and we would have been prepared to take -6, so lock in the line before it moves.
It could be a defensive battle, so include the under in NCAAF picks.
Louisville is listed at +125 in our Vegas NCAAF lines. This means that if you wager $100 on the Cardinals, you have a chance to win $125. Kentucky is -145, offering a chance to win $69 on a $100 wager.
The implied probability attached to the betting lines gives the Cardinals a 44.44% chance to win, with the Wildcats at 59.18%.
