Celebrating the loving and involved dads who also happen to be athletes
With Father’s Day 2023 already here, let’s take a look at some of the best dads in professional sports who are winning off of the field/court.
5. Freddie Freeman
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman, Freddie Freeman, is father to three handsome boys. According to entertainment news, Freeman hasn’t been as active on Twitter as he was when he won the series with the Atlanta Braves, but he still shows off his sons via Instagram and you can see the pure joy in their faces to have Freddie as their dad.
Winning the Hank Aaron Award is extra special for me since I get to put on the same uniform that he wore throughout his illustrious career. An incredible baseball player and an even better man. I am honored and humbled to win this award. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/8viKAA3jY1

3. Tom Brady
The GOAT of professional football could have been ranked higher if he loved his family a little more than he loves ball. With plenty of time on his hands following his official retirement from the NFL and divorce from his supermodel wife, Tom Brady’s job right now is just to be a dad and he’s doing a great job.

“They give you a reason to wake up in the morning, regardless of whether work is going well or not,” he said during an interview with Popsugar in 2018. “Your biggest responsibility, obviously, is being a parent, and it’s just so much fun every single day when they change so fast and you’re trying to keep up.”
1. Robert Griffin III
Robert Griffin III or “RG3” is a former NFL player-turned analyst who played quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. He is the father of three adorable little girls. And despite having ALL eyes on him at all times, he’s not afraid to show his soft side on social media—making him the ultimate family man.
RG3 also gets brownie points for not only having ‘#girldad’ in his Twitter bio but also for turning his daughters into Dragon Ball Z fans.
