The issue with referees has been dominating the headlines recently and this seems to be a global phenomenon. In this week’s podcast, we discuss possible solutions and how to move forward for all leagues.
We know, the last thing any fans want to talk about is referees. If they’re doing their jobs correctly, then they are an afterthought which puts them in a no-win situation. Let’s break down what the top sports leagues can do to overcome this glaring issue that is affecting the integrity of their respective sports.
Our second topic is about LeBron James making some NBA news recently. LeBron’s brand has been built by his on and off-the-court success. Without diving too deep into his off-the-court life, it’s safe to say that as far as NBA players go, he’s the poster child for being a family man. That was on full display when the subject of his son Bronny came up. LeBron said there is no way he’s missing Bronny’s first game with USC…even if he has to miss a Lakers game.
The third and last topic for this week is the NBA in-season tournament. The NBA Cup has been a huge success despite some initial skepticism by both fans and players alike. Now that we have reached the semi-final stage of the inaugural event, it’s impossible to deny that it has made the regular season more exciting. We discuss where the NBA goes from here and what they can do to give the tournament even more significance.
