Ant-Man vs Joker 🔥
Of course [Edwards] is a special player. I have a huge respect for him. – Nikola Jokic
As the NBA news continues to swirl, I am not hitting the panic button for the Denver Nuggets, but I do at least have it on my desk. One game does not lose a playoff series, but the Minnesota Timberwolves showed enough in Game 1 that Nuggets fans should be concerned.

Denver are a remarkable 36-9 in home games this season. Three of those nine losses came versus Minnesota during NBA games this season.
Prior to Game 1, the Nuggets had not lost at home since March 29. You guessed it, that was against the Timberwolves who now have the last two wins at Denver.
Even beyond the Nuggets’ home aura dissipating, there are other areas that should concern Denver. Namely, the T-Wolves have multiple big guys they can throw at Nikola Jokic. It also appears the Nuggets forgot to sign a legitimate backup center.
Nikola Jokic was asked how he can be impactful against the Wolves’ three bigs in Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid and after thinking for a good five seconds he answered: “To have a duplicate clone of myself”

Finally, Jamal Murray is playing through an injury and did not look like himself in Game 1.
But we have not even gotten to the biggest worry for the Nuggets…

Ant Man Is Here to Ruin Nuggets Fans Lives
I’m not here to kill your vibe, Nuggets fans. Yet, people have been penciling Denver into the NBA finals, and the Nuggets are in serious danger of losing this series.
We have not even mentioned Anthony Edwards who may be the biggest reason the Nuggets end up watching the Western Conference Finals at home. Anthony Edwards’ stats in Game 1: 43 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Don’t just take my word for it, The Joker knows Ant Man is a problem.

“Of course he is a special player,” Jokic said after Game 1, per Sports Illustrated. “I have a huge respect for him. He can do everything on the floor. You need to enjoy and respect your opponent and how good and how talented he is. But it was him in the first half, he scored like 20-something in the first half.
“Then it was [Karl-Anthony Towns], Mike [Conley] had some big points, Naz Reid had an amazing fourth quarter, and of course Ant had a really good fourth quarter too. So, they are a really talented team and that’s why they were the number one seed most of the year.”
“I’ve seen enough. …[Anthony Edwards] is the best two-way guard in the NBA.” 🏀 @stephenasmith on why he’s picking the Wolves over the Nuggets to win the series after Game 1 😳 pic.twitter.com/w8veJJF4O0

Can the Nuggets Get Past the Timberwolves and Thunder?
The Nuggets have the championship pedigree, and it would not be a surprise if Denver recovers to advance. Yet, there are enough concerns about this matchup that has me thinking the Nuggets are in trouble.
LEAKED Audio Of Jamal Murray Talking To Anthony Edwards👀:
Murray- “You got me?”
Edwards- “Yeah”
Murray: “ Oh, this is gonna be fun”
During that same possession, Ant got a stop on Murray and stared him down.
Then, after a no call, Ant said: “That mf smacked both of my arms” pic.twitter.com/KnXLxdpdoB

If Edwards and the T-Wolves advance, just prepare for an offseason of NBA rumors about where the star ranks among the NBA’s elite. BTW, we have not even discussed how the Thunder and Mavericks are also legitimate threats.
