Al Horford Leads Tuesday’s 3 Best NBA Player Prop Bets

The NBA playoffs have been highly entertaining and fruitful for us. My impressive 22– 14 record on player prop bets since the start of the playoffs is a testament to my expertise. I’ve consistently delivered profitable insights since the regular season and am here to continue that trend. We finished with another 2-1 night on Monday, and I’m itching for a sweep tonight.

The New York Knicks took care of business and defeated the Indiana Pacers to win Game 1. This victory was not unexpected, considering the Knicks’ recent form and strong performance in the series against the 76ers. Jalen Brunson soared over his points prop and finished with 43 points. Brunson is the first player since Michael Jordan to have four consecutive 40-point games! OG Anunoby and the Knicks’ defense held Pascal Siakam under his points prop, which we also cashed in the game.

The defending champion Denver Nuggets may have ended the Lakers’ season for the second consecutive year, but they looked overmatched in Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic combined for just 10 points in the first half, the lowest of any half this season. They didn’t get any help from their teammates like Michael Porter Jr., who failed to cash his three-pointer prop for us.

On Tuesday, we kick off two more second-round series when the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. ET as they look to continue to blaze a path to the NBA Finals. Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will cap off the night on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder when they battle in Game 1. My predictions have been red-hot, and we’re coming off of another profitable season, so let’s keep things rolling with my best NBA player props for Tuesday’s playoff games.

Here’s a look at some NBA Odds to consider!

Best NBA Player Props Today

1. Celtics PF Al Horford Over 1½ Threes Made

Unfortunately, it won’t be a completely smooth path to an Eastern Conference Finals for the Boston Celtics. In Game 4 against the Miami Heat, Kristaps Porzingis suffered a calf injury that will keep him out for a few more games. Porzingis is the ultimate difference maker this season for the Celtics, and they will need him to return to full health if they want to win the NBA Finals. Boston will turn to trusted veteran Al Horford to start in place of the injured Unicorn.

The good news for Boston is that they have one of the deepest rosters in the NBA and can just bump a guy with years of playoff experience like Horford into the starting lineup. Boston led the league in 3-point attempts (42.5) per game. The Cavs are expected to have Jarrett Allen back in the lineup for Game 1. He’s an excellent rim protector, but he becomes vulnerable as a defender on the perimeter. Horford has knocked down at least two three-pointers in four of his last five matchups with Allen as a starter!

Horford averaged 23.5 minutes in the first three games with Porzingis and saw his minutes bump to 34 after Porzingis went down. Game 5 was a blowout, as only Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday played more than 30 minutes in the win. Horford played 19 games in the regular season without Porzingis and splashed at least two triples in 14. I expect Horford to play over 30 minutes tonight, and he has knocked down at least two shots from beyond the arc in 16-of-24 games where he was on the floor for at least 30 minutes. Fire up Big Al with confidence.

2. Thunder PF Chet Holmgren Over 8½ Rebounds

Chet Holmgren may have lost out on the NBA Rookie of the Year award to Victor Wembanyama, but he has a chance to help his team continue their deep playoff run in this series with the Dallas Mavericks. Chet exceeded this line in two of four games in the first round against the Pelicans, who are a solid rebounding team. The matchup with Dallas is much softer on the interior. Holmgren finished with 11, 12, 8, and 9 rebounds in four regular-season meetings with the Mavs.

Dallas went out and acquired size at the trade deadline in PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, which could certainly play a role in this series. However, for Game 1, I’m sticking with what we know. The Mavericks allowed the fourth-most rebounds per game in the NBA, and Chet led OKC in rebounds per game (7.9). This could be a sweat, but I’m expecting a close game, and Chet will play significant minutes that will allow him to climb over this number at home in Game 1.

3. Mavericks C Daniel Gafford Over 6½ Rebounds

A few teams this season were worse on the glass than the Mavericks, including the Thunder. Oklahoma City is lacking size outside of Chet. This will likely be their ultimate downfall and they should have been in the trade market for a big like Dallas was at the deadline. The Thunder sat on their hands while the Mavs went out and acquired Daniel Gafford. The former Wizards center averaged 20 minutes per game in Round 1 against the Clippers. He failed to exceed this line in all five healthy matchups, but I expect a strong performance in this series.

The Thunder allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game to opposing centers and the seventh-most rebounds per game overall. Dallas will be without Maxi Kleber after he suffered a shoulder injury in Round 1, which will only increase the minutes Gafford is on the floor. In three games this season without Kleber, Gafford finished with 10, 7, and 15 rebounds. Gafford has played OKC three times this season: once with Washington, where he had 9 rebounds, and twice since being traded to Dallas when he finished with 9 and 15 rebounds! Since the trade to Dallas, Gafford has pulled down at least 7 rebounds in 15 of 21 games (71.4%), where he played at least 20 minutes.
