Lakers Strong ATS Pick at Home vs Bulls

The Chicago Bulls (21-24, 7-14 on road) travel to face the Los Angeles Lakers (22-23, 16-8 at home) in a battle of teams attempting to push back to the .500 mark. The Lakers could be a team on your list of money lines in NBA action for a potential parlay Thursday, as they’re modest -4½-point favorites. This game, which will be played at the crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, features an over/under of 228½.

The Bulls and Lakers havey been linked in numerous possible trade rumors. But on Thursday, the Lakers will seek a bit of revenge after losing to the Bulls on the road on Dec. 20, 124-108. Chicago has been impressive for the most part of late on the defensive end, but now faces a Lakers team with great results on their home floor, which also totaled 110 or more points in each of the past four games while scoring 127 or more in two of the four.

Bulls vs Lakers Over/Under Pick: Over 228½ (-110)

While the over has been friendly to the Lakers in recent games, a similar stretch has showcased some offensive upside for the Bulls that’ll help this total clear the over. In the past five games, the Bulls have scored 115 or more points four times. While Chicago has shown the ability to get key stops, I don’t think they’ll have an answer for Anthony Davis here, and I like the Lakers to put up a strong point total when playing at home. If the Bulls can keep the trend going, the over could be one of the best NBA bets of the action on Thursday night.

Tailing Lakers -4½ vs Bulls (-110)

The Bulls’ struggles on the road, headlined by just a 7-14 mark away from home, are an obvious concern here, but pairing that with the Lakers’ 16-8 home record spells trouble for Chicago. The Bulls are 9-11-1 ATS on the road and while the Lakers are 12-13 at home, Los Angeles has won three of five games with two coming against likely playoff teams, setting up an interesting NBA betting spot.

I’m backing the Lakers to get back to the .500 mark on the season, and the stellar play of guard D’Angelo Russell, who’s also a popular name in recent trade rumors, paired with Davis’s upside in this matchup is a huge benefit.

Prop Pick of the Day: Anthony Davis Rebounds Over 12½ (-213)

The Chicago Bulls have allowed a league-high in rebounds per game to opposing power forwards this season while also landing in the middle of the pack against centers. Regardless, Davis has feasted on overmatched opponents, and this should be the case again on Thursday when he faces the Bulls, so I’m taking him to clear 12½ rebounds.
