Sprinkle Some Magic on Heavy-Handed Hitters

UFC Fight Night Props

Who does not love a good knockout? It’s why most fans tune into the UFC 276 odds as much as half pretend it’s all about the “martial arts.” But a well-timed punch (or kick) can send someone into the shadow realm and these UFC odds have a lucrative payout if we properly hit one of these knockout props.

Let’s check the latest news, injury reports and UFC odds for UFC Fight Night Props.

Porter Shocks the World

It is not a UFC event without a shocking win. At least every event has a somewhat sizable underdog turning the online gambling lines upside down. So why not Parker Porter? Despite being sized like a light heavyweight, the American has to cut to get to 265 pounds and will have a massive weight advantage over big favorite Jailton Almeida.

While Porter (13-6-0) is not known for his knockout prowess, Almeida (15-2-0) is giving up a lot in weight here even if he is the longer fighter. The Brazilian will look to take Porter down and submit him, but he might just get tired if he can’t. Porter has enough pop in his punches to make short work of a gassed Almeida.

Pick: Porter By KO, TKO or DQ +1200

Chidi-Chidi Bang-Bang

Speaking of large individuals, Chidi Njokuani is a middleweight who is bigger than our two heavyweights above. At 6-foot-3 with an 80-inch reach, Njokuani (21-7-0) packs plenty of power. Just ask Marc-Andre Barriault, who was an otherwise iron-chinned fighter. One clean shot from Njokuani can put down any man. Dusko Todorovic is a sitting duck.

Tudorovic’s (11-2-0) size actually works against him here as it gives Njokuani more to hit. The Serb is a grappler whose striking game leaves much to be desired. Every fight starts on its feet and Njokuani should knock Tudorovic out before he even gets the fight to the ground.

Pick: Njokuani in Round 1 By KO, TKO or DQ +375

Pereira Lights Up Ponzinibbio

Joining in on the knockouts contest are welterweight contenders in Santiago Ponzinibio and Michel Pereira. This is close to a pick’em when betting online, but you may as well toss an extra coin on Pereira (27-11-0) to get Ponzinibbio (28-5-0) out of there.

The Brazilian has not KO’d anyone since his debut seven fights ago, but Ponzinibbio is worse for wear after a life-threatening injury and all the wars he’s fought. He’s ripe for the picking as Pereira, who has been more disciplined since will pepper him with shots until he eats one too many and has to be saved by the referee.

Pick: Pereira To Win By KO, TKO, DQ or Submission +300

Holm Could Knock Vieira Out Late

We picked Holly Holm to comfortably beat Ketlen Vieira for the main event. At the time, Holm (14-5-0) to win by decision was at even money. It has since been bet down to -135, and what little value left is best just used to just bet Holm straight up. Vieira (12-2-0) is a grinder and one who struggles to fight on her feet.

Holm should be able to dance around the Brazilian and pick her apart until she gets frustrated enough to let her guard down. Vieira got reckless against Irene Aldana and got slept. If she makes this same mistake, Holm will put her down, especially if Vieira has a rough time cutting weight. The small cage should also give Holm more of a chance to finish.

A late KO prop offers a hefty payout and also works as a hedge for the decision prop, so consider to bet on UFC for Holm.

Pick: Holm In Round 5 By KO, TKO or DQ +3300
