You are able to bet on the team you believe will be the winner of each division in the NHL. The odds are released at the beginning of the season and will change as the season progresses depending on team performances. Once teams start showing their seasonal strengths, you will see the odds start to move in their favor.

You can place a wager on the Vegas Golden Knights to win the Pacific Division if you are feeling confident that they will have a strong season and your bet will win if you accurately predicted that the Golden Knights secure the best record and win.

Oddsmakers are usually pretty close when creating these odds, so you will want to lock your bets in early – i.e. you see a team that you think will excel this season but they haven’t played yet to prove that they will be a powerhouse. You might get some great odds early on in this stage, so lock it in early.

Many divisions in the 2021-22 NHL season have some strong competition but there are always teams that are favored to win the Division title. Keep an eye on this page throughout the season for the most up-to-date NHL divisional odds and lines.

HOW TO BET ON NHL DIVISIONS

The NHL makes for an exciting experience, whether you are watching or betting on the games. If you found this page, you are likely looking to bet on NHL divisions, and are looking for the types of wagers you can place on each division. While you would find individual game odds the most interesting and plentiful, you can bet on NHL Divisional futures, which allows you to bet on a future outcome: the winner of any of the four NHL divisions.
Betting on the NHL regular season is a huge sports betting market in the United States, and brings thousands of betting opportunities each season. The NHL consists of 32 teams, split into four divisions of eight and each team plays 82 regular season games from October until April. That means there are over 2,600 NHL games in the regular season that you can bet on.

When betting on the NHL divisional odds, you are betting on which team will win their respective divisions. Once the NHL schedule is released, you can see which teams will have a strong schedule, which teams they will play on the road, or at home, and determine how they might do in the NHL regular season.

The best part about betting on NHL divisional odds instead of other futures options, is that you can bet on all four divisions – and try to predict the playoffs like a bracket. Pick the divisional winners, pick the conference winners and finally the Stanley Cup Champions.

Betting on NHL Divisional odds is a little bit easier than betting on conference odds or Stanley Cup odds as well because you have a one in eight chance of being right – and you have odds showing you the probability or likelihood of that team winning.

Betting on NHL Divisional Championships

When it comes to placing these wagers on each of your favorite teams from each division, you have a tough choice because most divisions are quite well matched, and there usually aren’t big favorites – but there usually are some huge underdogs.

Atlantic Division Title

Making up one half of the Eastern Conference, the Atlantic Division holds most of the Canadian teams on the East Coast as well as the teams more southern, as far as Florida. Betting on the Atlantic Division title winner can be challenging because there are so many talented teams in that division, but if you keep an eye on the team’s statistics and the season schedule, you might make some great choices – and cash in on a big win by betting on the Atlantic teams.

Metropolitan Division Title

With the Metropolitan division, you will be finding more teams that are in more popular and bustling cities like New York and Washington, Philadelphia and also finding some smaller centrally located cities as well. Betting on the Metropolitan Division winner can be equally as challenging as the Atlantic Division because the teams usually have four top contenders that remain relatively close all season. To bet on the Metropolitan Divisional winner, you simply need to choose which of the eight teams you believe will win the division outright – they don’t need to win the conference championship or the Stanley Cup – they just need to make it to the Conference Championship!

Central Division Title

The Central Division has produced the least amount of Stanley Cup Winners in recent years, usually being shuffled and reorganized with expansions. These teams are scattered throughout the United States, with the most Southern team in Dallas, Texas and the most Northern Team is the only Canadian team in the division in Winnipeg. This is probably one of the easier divisions to handicap, and there is usually a huge favorite, like the Colorado Avalanche this year, and huge underdogs, like Arizona.

Pacific Division Title

They put all of the flair on the West coast in the Pacific Division. These teams are highly regarded, competitive, and more teams are popping up out West each time there’s an expansion announcement. In recent years, the Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights were added to the division which moved other teams to different divisions. The Pacific Division odds usually are the tightest of all divisions, which means you will need to do more research and analyze the schedule a little deeper. However, this means that you could find some great value in an underdog because they are all so closely matched.

Betting on the NHL Divisional odds is a great way to place four futures wagers that might end up winning you some big money if you pick the correct teams far enough in advance. You will want to place these NHL divisional wagers early in the season before team’s start their domination to ensure the best odds.
