NBA CONFERENCES

The National Basketball Association is divided into two conferences: The Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Each conference is split into 3 divisions based on its geographical locations. In the Eastern Conference, there is the Atlantic Division, Central Division, and Southeast Division. In the Western Conference, there is the Northwest Division, Pacific Divison, and Southwest Divison.

Brooklyn Nets
New York Knicks
Philadelphia 76ers
Toronto Raptors
Chicago Bulls
Cleveland Cavaliers
Detroit Pistons
Indiana Pacers
Milwaukee Bucks
Atlanta Hawks
Charlotte Hornets
Miami Heat
Orlando Magic
Washington Wizards

WESTERN CONFERENCE

Minnesota Timberwolves
Oklahoma City Thunder
Portland Trail Blazers
Utah Jazz
Golden State Warriors
Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles Lakers
Phoenix Suns
Sacramento Kings
Dallas Mavericks
Houston Rockets
Memphis Grizzlies
New Orleans Pelicans
San Antonio Spurs

The winners of each the Eastern and Western Conference face off in the NBA Finals series.

So accurately predicting the winners of each conference may not be as huge of an accomplishment as it would be to predict the NBA Finals Champion, but it’s a pretty close second. Once the season gets going, you will find plenty of NBA futures odds, including the NBA conference odds. You will find all team’s odds of winning their respective divisions, and your job is to pick accurately!

Obviously, betting on NBA Conference odds is pretty straightforward, but you are betting on a future outcome, so you have a 1/15 chance of being accurate. However, it is much easier to bet on Conference and Divisional futures than it is to bet on the NBA Finals.

Usually, bettors will place a reasonable wager at the start of the season, but you start to see the real money rolling in as the playoffs get closer. Big bettors will start flooding sportsbooks with their larger wagers as it becomes a little more apparent who the front runners are.

Keep an eye on this page throughout the NBA regular season and keep an eye on these NBA odds to ensure you don’t miss out on any important line moves or odd shifts.

HOW TO BET ON NBA CONFERENCES

Betting on the NBA Conferences is the next level down from betting on the winner of the NBA Finals. The NBA Conference championships are the last stepping stone to the NBA Finals, and a 1 in 15 chance is a little easier to predict than a 1 in 30 chance. These two teams will go on to face each other in the championship, so it’s almost the second last betting opportunity of the season.

If you’re wondering how to bet on the NBA Conference odds, you will be placing a futures bet. Futures bets are wagers you can place months or even a year in advance of the actual event, and you can find some inflated odds – odds which will result in more money – however, these wagers will be much riskier.

When looking at the odds board for the NBA Conference winners, you will see numbers associated with how likely the team is to win the conference title. These numbers are usually framed as positive or negative numbers (if you select the popular American odds format) and the higher the number the bigger the underdog, and the lower the number, the more that team is favored.

Teams with odds of -150 could be considered a favored team, and teams with +9000 would be considered a pretty big underdog. These odds aren’t set in stone either, they will change and fluctuate throughout the season based on the team’s performances. Usually, with the NBA, you will see far more dynasty teams and the odds reflect that.

However, the earlier you bet on these odds, the better chance you will have of getting the best odds available – because as a team starts to perform well, their odds will reflect that. The most important thing to consider when betting on NBA Conferences is how players might affect the team.

NBA teams have small rosters and a lot of rides on the starting players remaining healthy and performing at the top of their game. Injuries can play a huge factor in these odds – if a star player gets hurt, you will see that reflected in the odds.

Betting on the NBA Conference champions can be a great way to make the season a little more exciting – keep an eye on our NBA Conference sportsbook odds as the season progresses.
