Head-to-Head

The Colts have won four of the last five meetings in this AFC South rivalry, including an emphatic 34-17 smackdown victory in Week 10 while easily covering the spread as a 1-point road favorite. Indianapolis shut out Tennessee in the second half of that meeting after going into the half down 17-13. Philip Rivers passed for 308 yards with one TD pass and no picks.

The Titans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 meetings in Indianapolis. The Favorite has gone a commanding 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings while the road team has gone 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Last, but not least, the Under is 14-5 in the last 19 meetings in Indianapolis.

Last Game

Tennessee had dropped three of its previous four games but picked up a big win by getting past Baltimore 30-24 in overtime on Sunday while outscoring Baltimore 11-3 in the fourth quarter after going into the break down 14-10.

Ryan Tannehill passed for 259 yards with two TD tosses and one interception while superstar running back Derrick Henry rushed for 133 yards with a game-winning 29-yard touchdown run in overtime.

Let’s take a look at Tennessee’s AFC Conference Championship Odds.

Tennessee is ranked 10th in total offense, 23rd in passing, fifth in rushing, and ninth in scoring (27.9 ppg). Defensively, the Titans are ranked 25th overall, 27th against the pass, 20th against the run, and 18th in points allowed (25.9 ppg).

Ryan Tannehill has thrown at least two TD passes in six of Tennessee’s last seven games while wide receiver AJ Brown has caught at least one TD pass in six of the Titans last seven games.

Last Game

Indianapolis pulled off the stunning 34-31 overtime win against Green Bay by dominating the Packers in the second half after going into the break down 28-14. The Colts limited Aaron Rodgers and company to just three second-half points while Philip Rivers passed for 288 yards with three TD passes and one interception. Rookie running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for 90 yards in the win.

Will the Colts cash in against their value-packed NFL Division Odds to win the AFC South?

Stats Pack

The Colts are ranked 13th in total offense, 10th in passing, 19th in rushing and 10th in scoring (27.6 ppg). Defensively, Indianapolis is ranked a stellar second overall, 4th against the pass, third against the run and fifth in points allowed (20.8 ppg).

Philip Rivers has thrown seven TD passes and a modest two interceptions over Indy’s last four games while leading the Colts to a 3-1 mark over that span. However, veteran wide receiver TY Hilton has been limited to four catches or less in five straight games while failing to top 40 receiving yards in every game and he has not scored a touchdown in any contest.

Betting on the Game

The Colts are lighting up the scoreboard in a big way over their last five games, while Tennessee was limited to 24 points or less in four straight until reaching the 30-point plateau last weekend.

Moneyline

The Colts have gone 4-1 SU in its last 5 games and 5-1 SU in its last 6 home games. Tennessee is 10-4 SU in its last 14 games and 8-2 SU in its last eight road games. The Colts, however, have gone 10-2 SU in its last 12 home games against the Titans. With these two rivals averaging an almost identical amount of points offensively, it looks like the Indianapolis defense is the best reason to back the Colts in this Week 12 showdown.

Point Spread

The Titans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games against a team with a winning home record, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight-up win and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.

On the flip side of the coin, the Colts are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite, 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games against a team with a winning record, and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a home favorite.

The half-point added-on to the three-point spread makes Indianapolis look relatively attractive in this matchup unless you believe the Colts are going to dominate defensively as I do.

Over/Under

The Over is 6-0-1 in Tennessee’s last 7 games following a straight-up win and 4-0 in the Titans’ last four games as an underdog. The Over is also 4-1 in Tennessee’s last five road games and 17-5-1 in the Titans last 23 games overall.

The Over is 4-0 in Indy’s last four games against their AFC South division rivals and 5-1 in the Colts’ last six games overall. Indianapolis has scored 34 points or more in three of its last four games and the Colts should be able to approach that figure in this meeting while Tennessee should be able to put 24 points on the board in this Week 12 clash!
