NHL Alternative Bets: Explore Unique Betting Markets at BetUS

Betting on the NHL is always fun, but for those wishing to venture beyond the classic money lines or spreads, alternative betting options present an interesting twist. At BetUS, we have a selection of alternative bets including focus bets which are generally centered around certain events on the ice and player statistics. From the Boston Bruins to the Colorado Avalanche to the Vegas Golden Knights, our alternate betting markets offer a wider experience of the NHL season regardless of who you are betting on.

What Are NHL Alternative Bets?

Alternative bets are a new way to make a wager where the analyst can go beyond the standard outcome of the game. Wagering on an individualโ€™s performance or an achievement by a team can fall into this category too. These are more ways of betting that enhance the possibilities available to a gambler. Alternative bets allow one to bet on how many total goals, for example, will be scored in such games or to over/under on how a certain team will play in several matches. All these are alternative bets that enhance the overall experience.

Popular NHL Alternative Betting Markets:

  • Alternate Puck Line: Rather than betting on the standard puck line, you can choose alternate lines that offer different spreads. For example, if the Toronto Maple Leafs are heavy favorites, you might find better value by adjusting the spread to make the game more competitive.
  • Team Totals: Bet on how many goals a team will score, without worrying about the outcome of the game. This is a great option if you think a team like the Tampa Bay Lightning will dominate offensively but arenโ€™t sure about the final score.
  • NHL Props: Dive into NHL props, where you can bet on individual player performances, such as Connor McDavid scoring a goal or a goalie like Igor Shesterkin making over a certain number of saves. These bets allow you to focus on specific aspects of the game.
  • Period Betting: Place your bets on which team will win a specific period or how many goals will be scored in a given timeframe. This type of alternative bet is perfect for those who want to focus on the action as it unfolds in smaller chunks.
