Same-Game Parlays Explained: How to Combine Bets for Bigger Wins

How does a same-game parlay work?

There are many ways to boost your payout when betting, and a same-game parlay is one such way.

A same-game parlay is when you place multiple bets on one game.

Since the chances of the wager hitting –like a regular parlay– are lower, the payout is bigger, and the more bets you add to the parlay, the higher the potential payout.

Betting Strategy

There are multiple strategies one can employ to win a parlay bet, but same-game parlays make it a bit easier since one is researching one game.

When making a same-game parlay, one could place a moneyline bet and add in a total bet and a few player props to boost the odds.

It is always best to do research on the team and game you are betting on, as well as the players in the game.

Knowing if certain players perform better against some teams than others can be beneficial, as that can help inform your parlay if you want to bet on their stats.

It’s also a good idea to correlate your parlay and make sure all the parlay picks make sense.

For instance, if you bet one player will underperform but take his team to win by a wide margin, the chances of your bet hitting may be lower than if you expect a different player to step up and help his team cover the spread.

If one bet in your parlay doesn’t hit, then you miss out on your payout.

Prop Bets

Prop bets are a big part of same-game parlays, as bettors can add them to their same-game parlays to increase their odds.

Prop bets are wagers on a certain event in a game or on a player’s statistical performance.

Bettors can add player props, such as if a player will have a certain number of assists or score a certain number of touchdowns, to help build their same-game parlay.

Same-Game Parlay Betting Guide

There are many different ways to bet a same-game parlay, but it will typically include a few game picks plus player props in the wager.

The most common bet to start with is the moneyline bet, which is a wager on who will win the game, while bettors can also add the over/under or spread pick to their parlay.

A point spread pick is a prediction on how many points a team will win or lose by, and the over/under, or total, is the combined number of points both teams will score in the game.

To increase the odds of a parlay, and therefore the payout, prop bets are also usually added to a same-game parlay bet.

Prop bets, in the case of a same-game parlay, are a wager on how a specific player will perform in the game, and bettors can have multiple in the parlay.

However, the more picks you add, the greater the risk of the bet not hitting, because each pick needs to hit for the parlay to pay out at the end of the game.

To make a parlay bet, one should do plenty of research on the game, teams, and players involved to have all the necessary information to make an informed bet.

Once armed with that information, bettors can head to the sportsbook, which has a helpful same-game parlay and prop builder tab that shows them some of the top bets to start a parlay.

FAQs

BetUS is a great option for same-game parlays because it offers multiple props and same-game parlay options across many sports.

One can bet on same-game parlays by using either the same-game parlay or prop builder tab on the sportsbook, which makes it easier to start a parlay for the game you are betting on.

Although same-game parlays have greater odds of failing due to more picks, they do hit if one does their research and adds player props that make sense.
