Teams from the best division – record-wise – in baseball meet on Tuesday at Wrigley Field. The Cincinnati Reds will throw Andrew Abbott against the Cubs’ Jameson Taillon. The Cubs came into the series 13-5 at home while Cincy was 10-5 on the road.
This series will go a long way to determining who winds up in first place in the NL Central at the end of it. Abbott’s ERA is approaching 6, while Taillon is near 4.50. Combine that with winds blowing out at Wrigley Field, and expect plenty of runs to be scored. The Cubs will be favored in MLB odds at -189 but the best bet is for the runs total to be toppled.
