Teams in the running for division titles meet in Chicago as the Yankees start a series with the White Sox on Monday. Almost hard to believe, but the White Sox are the team with the 2.5-game lead in the AL Central, while the Yankees are behind the Tampa Bay Rays by the same margin in the AL East. In the opener, the Yankees go with Max Fried. He was impressive in his return from injury, and with Cam Schlittler and Gerrit Cole, the New York pitching staff is looking scary. Chicago’s Noah Schultz had better bring great stuff, and he has not done it thus far this year, going 3-7 with a 6.04 ERA. The Yankees are still missing Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, but the rest of the lineup should tattoo Schultz. MLB odds have the Yankees at -140 and the White Sox at +126 with the run total at 8½.
