France LNB

Overview

The LNB Pro A or the Betclic Elite is the top level of professional men’s basketball in France. The French LNB is one of the oldest basketball leagues, being founded in 1921. The league consists of teams mostly from France, as well as representation from Monaco. The Ligue Nationale de Basket is the governing body, and the league falls under the FIBA Europe Confederation.

There are 18 teams that compete in the LNB Pro A:

  • AS Monaco Basket
  • ASVEL Basket
  • BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque
  • Champagne Basket
  • Cholet Basket
  • Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez
  • ESSM Le Portel
  • Fos Provence Basket
  • JDA Dijon Basket
  • JL Bourg Basket
  • Le Mans Sarthe Basket
  • Limoges CSP
  • Metropolitans 92
  • Nanterre 92
  • Orleans Loiret Basket
  • Paris Basketball
  • Roanne
  • SIG Strasbourg

The LNB Pro A operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Pro B, where the two lowest placed teams will be relegated to, and the top two Pro B teams are promoted to the Pro A. ASVEL has the record for most titles, and are current reigning champions, securing their 20th title in 2020-21.

All 18 teams play in a double round robin format, and the top eight teams head to the playoffs for a best of five series. The four victorious teams head to the final four, then the final two teams will head to the championship. The team that wins the title will also be the French National Champions

How To Bet On France LNB Odds

If you want to bet on the French LNB Pro A, it’s a good idea to get an idea of the popular betting options available so you can create a betting strategy to help you win. There won’t be a huge selection of odds like you’d find when betting on the NBA, but you can find some great value right here at BetUS sportsbook.

Moneyline wagers allow you to place a bet on the winner of each game. It’s the easiest bet to place – you can bet on your favorite team or the team you want to win the game. It’s pretty simple once you understand how basketball betting odds work. Each team will have odds listed, showing how likely they are to win the game.

Point spreads are a little more complicated, but they allow you to bet on the spread between the two team’s expected points. The line will be set on how many points the favored team is expected to win by, and they will have to win by that many points. The underdog team can lose by less than that number of points, or win the game outright for your bet to cash.

You can bet on the Over/Under or totals wager as it’s commonly called, which allows you to bet on the total number of points scored by both teams, added together. You have to decide if the total number of points scored by both teams will be higher or lower than the oddsmaker’s line. This is a great option for you if you aren’t sure or the game might be too close to bet on the other two options.

You won’t see the level of props that you’d see on typical NBA games, but you will find a few props on our sportsbook for the LNB Pro A. You can find a selection of team props, which are outcomes that involve a team’s performance, player props, which involves a particular player’s performance, and game props which just involve an outcome occurring during the game.

Finally, a futures wager allows you to bet on the winner of the LNB Pro A, only you are placing this wager months in advance. You will be placing a wager that occurs in the future, so you can expect this bet will be riskier and carry much higher odds. All teams will be listed in order of most likely to least likely to win, and their odds will determine how much you will win when the champion is finally crowned. These odds will change through the season as teams start to break out as favorites, so be sure to lock it in early.

Now that you’re through this primer, you’re ready to start betting on the LNB Pro A basketball odds, find the available odds on our sportsbook!
