Betting the Moneyline
The moneyline NCAA football odds are sometimes ignored by bettors as there are some games that are simply too lopsided for this to be a decent option. That won’t be the case when Florida St. vs LSU happens in 2022, as these teams are pretty close in talent.
LSU is a slight favorite in this game, and the moneyline odds for the Tigers are set at -155. A $100 bet on LSU would return a payout of $64.52 if the Tigers are able to win this game.
A better option, at least in terms of a potential payout, would be taking the underdog Florida State Seminoles at +120. That same $100 bet could win you $120, but there is a reason that they are the underdogs based on probability.
Betting Against the Spread
The NCAA football betting lines that most people tend to look at first is the spread. This is arguably the best bet to make on college football, and there is a pretty good option here when Florida State and LSU meet up.
LSU has opened up as a 2.5-point favorite over Florida State, and it’s hard to find a spread that is tighter than that. The payouts for betting on either the Tigers or Seminoles would both be $100 if you make a $110 bet.
The LSU Tigers simply need to win this game by at least three points to cover the spread, while FSU can cover by losing by two points or less.
Betting the Total
Another popular option when betting on college football is what is known as betting the total or making an over/under pick.
This type of bet has nothing to do with the team that wins or losses the game, which can sometimes be a nice thing to consider.
For the 2022 showdown between Florida St. vs LSU, the over/under has opened up at 51.5 points. You will often see a .5 point included with NCAA football betting lines for this type of bet, and that .5 point could make a difference.
For an over bet to be considered the winner, these teams must combine for at least 52 total points. If the final score is a combined total of 51 points or less, then it would be the under that is the right pick.
Futures Betting
If you believe that the Florida State Seminoles or LSU Tigers are going to make some noise this season, then you also have the ability to make a futures bet.
This bet won’t be one that is solely dependent on the outcome of this game, but this game will impact the futures odds.
Florida State plays in the ACC, and LSU competes in the SEC. You can bet on either the Seminoles or Tigers to win their respective leagues, or you could bet on them to win the College Football Playoff.
Futures betting is going to come with a much bigger payout than simply betting on the moneyline, spread, or total in Florida St. vs. LSU.
Live Betting
Making a bet before the Florida St. vs LSU game starts is going to be the route that most people choose, but it’s not your only option for betting on this game.
Live betting is another option that will be available to you, and you can usually make the same type of bets as you did before the game started.
One nice thing about live betting is the fact that you can watch the game play out and then check out the NCAAF Odds based on the action. You have to get your bets in quickly when making an in-play wager, as the odds will disappear soon.
