The clay court season is in full swing, with eyes pointing to the French Open as Carlos Alcaraz looks to win back-to-back men’s singles titles. In contrast, Iga Swiatek looks to become the first woman to win at Roland Garros in four consecutive years since Suzanne Lenglen in the 1920s.
The French Open begins on May 25, with the tennis odds being impacted by the results in Madrid and Rome.
There should be plenty of money coming in on the defending champions. There is more value in the French Open odds to go in a different direction. The tennis betting odds offer options to bet on the spread as well as the number of games won in a match.
Other French Open bets to consider can be found in the French Open futures odds, including the number of Grand Slam titles won in 2025. It’s not too early to start thinking about French Open predictions.

Swiatek Going After Some History
Swiatek‘s first tournament in the clay court season did not go well as she lost to Jelena Ostapenko in three sets in the quarterfinals in Stuttgart. She was 3-3 in the quarterfinals and 0-3 in the semifinals in her first six tournaments of 2025.
Swiatek has lost a total of three sets while winning her last 21 singles matches at the French Open. Regardless of her early-season struggles, she’s expected to be at the center of French Open news in 2025.
In the Open era, no women’s player has won four consecutive French Open singles titles. Monica Seles and Justine Henin each won three championships in a row.
Henin retired and didn’t attempt to win the French Open as the three-time defending champion in 2008.
Seles was stabbed by a fan a month before the start of the 1993 French Open, as she did not get the chance to make it four titles in a row.
Swiatek has -175 tennis odds to win at Roland Garros again.
Alcaraz Eyeing A Repeat
From the time Carlos Alcaraz debuted on the ATP Tour, it was more a case of when, not if, he would win the title at the French Open.
Alcaraz became the first player other than Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to win the French Open men’s singles title since 2015 when he beat Alexander Zverev in a five-set final.
Alcaraz looks ready to go. He beat three top-25 players to win the title at Monte-Carlo and then reached the final in Barcelona.
Alcaraz had to work to win at Roland Garros for the first time, as he had to win the fourth and fifth sets to beat Jannik Sinner in the semifinals and to top Alexander Zverev in the final.
Other than Nadal, the last back-to-back men’s singles champion at Roland Garros was Gustavo Kuerten in 2000 and 2001. Keep that in mind when it comes to French Open betting options.
Alcaraz is the favorite, with even French Open odds to win his second consecutive French Open men’s singles title. Check out the sportsbook promotions as we get closer to the start of the French Open.
Is Sabalenka Ready To Break Through?
Aryna Sabalenka is still looking for her first finals appearance at the French Open. She fell in the semifinals in 2023 and then lost in the quarterfinals in 2024.
At BetUS, Sabalenka is priced at +400 to win at Roland Garros according to the odds for the French Open. Elena Rybakina (+1200), Mirra Andreeva (+1400), and Qinwen Zheng (+1600) are other contenders to watch.
Sinner Set to Return
Many of his peers believe that top-ranked Jannik Sinner was let off easy with a suspension for testing positive for a banned substance, allowing him to miss no Grand Slam events.
Those in charge bought his eye-raising excuse that the positive test was a result of a transfer from the person giving him massages.
Sinner might need to shake some of his rust off, but he is still the No. 2 men’s favorite at +250 to win the tournament for the first time.
What About The DJoker?
Djokovic is the last man standing among the Big 3 as Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have both retired.
Djokovic has fallen to No. 5 in the ATP rankings after losing his opening match in three of his first five tournaments in 2025.
The three-time French Open champion can’t be overlooked. He is at +550 in the French Open odds.
Can The Americans Deliver?
Coco Gauff has made it to at least the quarterfinals in each of her last four trips to Roland Garros, with an appearance in the 2022 final. After falling in the quarterfinals at the Australian Open, can she become the first American woman in 10 years to win the French Open women’s singles title?
At the BetUS Sportsbook, Gauff is listed as the No. 3 favorite at +700 in the French Open women’s odds.
The next American is reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys at +2500, followed by Jessica Pegula (+3300) and Danielle Collins (+8000).
The last U.S.-born player to reach the French Open men’s singles final was Andre Agassi when he won the title in 1999.
No U.S. player has reached the men’s quarterfinals at Roland Garros since Agassi in 2003.
Will that change in 2025? According to BetUS, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul are among a group of players tied for 17th at +10000 in the odds of winning the French Open, followed by Ben Shelton at +15000.
