Dodgers Continue to Lead World Series Futures
Bettors Loving LA
The World Series Baseball betting odds continue to see a one-team race. The odds on the Dodgers winning their third straight championship have dipped from +225 to +200.
If one thinks those are short in a 30-team field, catch a look at the number to win the NL West. The MLB futures for the Dodgers to capture their division again are -1100. The second choice is the San Diego Padres at +1200. That is beyond odds-on. In horse racing parlance, it would be something a bridge jumper would do.
That’s what happens when a team is a two-time defending champion and has a loaded lineup and pitching staff. There is an opportunity for those who think the third straight WS win is too much.
Only One Other Team Below +1200
The Dodgers are such heavy favorites to win it all again that one other team is below +1200. That would be the New York Yankees, who are +850 to win it all in MLB odds to win the World Series. This is intriguing because there is no guarantee the Yankees are the second-best team in baseball, let alone the team that will break a World Series drought that has gone on since 2009.
The Yankees are leading the AL East and, as of this writing, were the only team over .500 in the division. They are -125 in MLB futures bets to capture the division, which is a far cry from the overwhelming favorite the Dodgers are.
Intriguing Teams in World Series Futures Market
The Toronto Blue Jays aren’t favored to win their division. Their MLB odds to win the World Series are +1600. Once the Jays get healthy, they should be considered a strong team to win the AL East. They also were a play or so away from being the MLB champs. The Yankees see so much play in this market that Toronto could be a good team to tab and watch should their odds head North of where they are now. They certainly could be a play in future odds MLB.
On the opposite end of this spectrum would be the New York Mets. They are +1600 in World Series baseball betting odds. For all the big names the team has, it never seems to be able to put it together. This number seems to be one that could head upward as the season continues, especially if the Mets continue their typical, streaky, roller coaster seasons.
A team that had a bad 2025 but is off to a nice start in 2026 is the Atlanta Braves. They are +1800 in baseball World Series odds and could make for a nice backup play. The Braves don’t stay down for a long time and should be a threat to win the NL East. They are currently +185 in that market. Remember, there are futures odds in many different areas for MLB futures at BetUS and if MLB odds seem daunting, there are options galore for bettors.
The Chicago Cubs are also +2000. They were expected to be a contender in the NL and were the pick in the NL Central. Meanwhile, they have struggled through the early part of the season and are no sure thing in their division, let alone to make the postseason.
