Look at Futures Market as June Arrives

Dodgers Remain Prohibitive Favorite

World Series Baseball Betting odds have had the Los Angeles Dodgers as the favorite to win it all. LA is +200 to make it three in a row. The calendar has turned to June, and the Dodgers are starting to open up space in the NL West.

The Padres are +3300 in MLB odds. They were able to keep pace with LA through May but have faltered of late. One serious dent in San Diego’s hopes is that it is well above .500 on the road but only playing near the equator at home.

That isn’t going to help challenge the two-time defending champs. Additionally, the Dodgers have outscored opponents by nearly 120 runs, but San Diego is negative in run differential entering the final day of May.

Donnie Baseball Has Phillies Over .500

It was a long climb, but Don Mattingly and the Phillies find themselves above .500. They were off to a terrible start, fired Rob Thomson, and turned to the former great Yankees first baseman. They are nowhere near threatening the Braves in the NL East.

However, they can try to play their way into the race for a wild-card spot. The Phils are only +1800 in baseball World Series odds. That gives the impression the sportsbook has faith Philadelphia is going to keep improving.

The Braves, meanwhile, are +900 to win it all in MLB odds to win the World Series. They are another team that has outscored opponents by more than 100 runs. The Braves entered Sunday as the only NL East team that had outscored its opponents collectively on the season. That would explain the huge lead Atlanta has.

NL Central Continues to Have Teams Play Strong Ball

The NL Central is quite intriguing. Teams continue to be able to play better than .500 baseball. That would be every team in the division as May closed. The team to watch is the Milwaukee Brewers, who are playing at a better than .600 rate.

Milwaukee sits at +1800 in MLB future bets. One way to look at it is Milwaukee is having such a great season and is still at the same odds to win the World Series as the Phillies.
The Chicago Cubs, despite being long behind Milwaukee, are also at +1800. Guessing the sportsbooks think the streaking Cubbies will have a hot run and find their way into the playoffs and be a menace once there.

AL East Continues to Be a Two-Team Race

The Tampa Bay Rays are doing their best to hold off the Yankees in the AL East. Tampa Bay wins a lot of tight games, while the Yankees blow out opponents when they win. That explains how close the run differential is for TB while the Bronx Bombers enjoy a huge cushion in that category.

Baseball World Series odds have the Yankees at +550 with Tampa Bay at +2000. Anyone who believes that the Rays are for real might want to get involved at BetUS on that price. It certainly is fascinating, given the Rays are still ahead of the Yankees in the division.

MLB World Series FAQs

A World Series futures bet is a wager on which team will win the title, placed before or during the postseason. You pick a team and lock in odds. If that team wins the Series, you collect; if not, the stake is lost. Payouts depend on the listed price — for example, +400 returns $500 on a $100 stake — and vig is included in the market.
Odds move as games finish and new facts arrive. Starter availability, bullpen strain, and injuries shift implied probabilities. Public money and sharp action push lines and bookmakers adjust exposure. Check MLB postseason odds after each game to track shifts and spot where value opens before the market corrects.
