Big Ten Teams Lead CFP Picture for Semifinal Odds
College Football Playoff Odds have been posted at BetUS, and Big Ten schools lead the way when it comes to teams being bet to reach the semifinals. Indiana, Ohio State, and Oregon are three of the top five being offered. The Hoosiers are -315, the Buckeyes -270, and the Ducks at -115.
The other two schools at “minus” odds are Texas Tech (-125) and Georgia (-250). Of these, the only school that will play in the first round is Oregon, which will meet upstart James Madison. The Ducks are huge favorites over the Dukes.
Looking for a liver long shot? How about Miami at +600 or Texas A&M at +370.
Odds to Win the Entire CFP Shebang
Indiana and Ohio State enter the CFP as the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds. College football championship odds have them flipped in futures betting.
The Hoosiers, who beat the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game, are +275. The once-beaten Buckeyes check in at +240. An Ohio State win would make back-to-back national championships.
In college football odds today, there are three other schools that are less than double-digit odds. Georgia is +500, Texas Tech is +850, and Oregon is +800.
Texas Tech seems to be a nice price play because the team offers a balanced attack and a potent defense that can keep up with the big boys from the Big Ten and SEC.
When it comes to the longer college football betting odds in futures to win it all, Texas A&M is +1600, Alabama +2000, Miami +2200, and Ole Miss +2500. The Crimson may be from the vaunted SEC, but it is the lone team in this field with 12 losses.
As much as Alabama winning is never a surprise, it would be exactly that if it won the national championship with this team.
Who’s Your Heisman Favorite? A Hoosier!
The Heisman finalists were announced Monday, and if the Heisman odds are spot on, the race will be a runaway.
There are four players left: Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia, Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love, and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin.
Heisman Trophy odds have Mendoza as the prohibitive favorite. He is -3000 to win the prestigious honor.
Up next is Pavia at +1200 with Love +12500 and Sayin +2500. Unlike the CFP field, where college football betting lines are more balanced, this group would be a stunner if Indiana’s QB didn’t take home the Heisman.
When it comes to betting games, futures, or awards, make certain BetUS is the place you place your wagers.
College football lines today are posted early and updated often, so keep an eye out for changes that could be tempting and give one the price they are looking for in these areas of interest.
