NFL 1st Half Odds: Gain the Edge Early with BetUS

Wagering in the first half of an NFL game is wise because you get to take advantage of the initial flow of the game and how teams interact with one another.

At BetUS, we provide current NFL odds and lines for first-half betting, which includes backing a specific team before half-time.

If you are betting on the score, the spread, or even particular teams’ statistical averages, the 1st half odds are an effective way to get ahead in a contest.

How to Bet on NFL 1st Half Lines

While betting on the first half of an NFL game, punters pay attention to the performance of the teams until halftime.

In addition, they make some forecasts such as the score: will one of the teams be leading after the first two quarters; will one of the teams ‘cover the spread’; or how many points will be.

The technicalities of the first-to-second-half betting lines certainly differ from the betting lines that span over the entire game, thus enabling many betting opportunities at the start of the game depending on the prediction.

Popular First Half Betting Markets:

  • First Half Spreads: Bet on whether a team will cover the spread in the first two quarters. This can be a good option if you believe one team will dominate early.
  • First Half Totals: Predict whether the combined score of both teams will go over or under the total points line for the first half.
  • First Half Moneylines: Wager on which team will be leading at halftime without worrying about the point spread.

Using NFL 1st Half Betting to Shape Your Strategy

When betting on the first half of any sport, it means that you would already have some information about that team which may give you an edge in the live bets or the full-time bets.

For example, if a team is known to have a dragon-like start but taps out at the end, then betting on the first-half betting lines would be advised rather than the full game.

Also, when betting on the first half of the game, it is easy to make changes to your game plan according to how the match progresses.
