Saquon Barkley’s move from the New York Giants to the Philadelphia Eagles saw him rush for more than 2000 yards and lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl title. He also became the first running back to win all three major NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards since Adrian Peterson in 2012.
Led by Barkley, four of the six players with the shortest NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds are running backs.

A Look at the NFL Offensive Player Of The Year Odds
What’s Next For Barkley?
The New York Giants’ loss was the Philadelphia Eagles’ gain as Saquon Barkley ran for more than 2000 yards for the Eagles in the regular season. His impact on the Eagles has opened the door for running backs to be viewed as more than just spare parts when it comes to handing out lucrative contracts.
No player has won back-to-back Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards since Marshall Faulk of the Rams in 2000 and 2001. Barkley has +550 odds to change that.
The Chase Is On
It is not easy for receivers to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.
Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings earned that distinction in 2022. Will his former LSU teammate follow suit?
Cincinnati receiver Ja’Marr Chase had a season for the ages when he had 127 catches for 1708 yards and 17 touchdowns with the Bengals in 2024. Chase led the NFL in all three categories. In another time, those numbers would have won him the NFL OPOY award.
Take a look at Chase’s +900 Offensive Player of the Year odds.
Jefferson (+1400), Puka Nacua (+1600) of the Rams, Nico Collins (+2000) of the Texans, and CeeDee Lamb (+2000) of the Cowboys are the other receivers leading the way in the Offensive Player of the Year odds.
Hitting the Ground Running
Derrick Henry won the award handed out by The Associated Press and the Pro Football Writers’ Association in 2020 when he was a member of the Tennessee Titans.
After eight seasons with the Titans, Henry landed in Baltimore in 2024. Henry had 1927 yards and 16 TD runs for the Ravens. He seems a little undervalued at +1200 in the NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds.
There are some younger running backs to monitor.
When looking at NFL award odds, Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions ran for 1412 yards and 16 touchdowns to go with 52 catches in his second NFL season. Now he comes in at +1000 to become the first player from the Lions since Barry Sanders in 1997 to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award. Gibbs and the Lions are among the teams likely to generate interest in Super Bowl bets.
Fellow second-year running back Bijan Robinson of the Atlanta Falcons had better numbers in 2024. Keep an eye on the +1400 NFL OPOY odds.
The quarterbacks with the shortest NFL lines to win the award are Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, and Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders. They all come in at +4000.
Brock Bowers of the Raiders is the top candidate among tight ends at +7000 odds at BetUS Sportsbook.
