Auto racing fans, it’s time to rev your engines as BetUS has the NASCAR Championship odds for the four remaining drivers ready to compete for the organization’s championship crown jewel, slated for Phoenix Raceway this coming Sunday.
This Sunday, the season will culminate at Phoenix Raceway, where four drivers will compete for NASCAR’s championship title.
The odds for the NASCAR Championship include Denny Hamlin (+160), Kyle Larson (+225), William Byron (+270), and Chase Briscoe (+370). One of these four drivers will succeed Joey Logano as NASCAR’s reigning king.
Even though only one of these four drivers will become the new champion, the race will have a full grid of cars and more drivers. The NASCAR odds for this race have Hamlin at +300, Byron at +430, Larson at +450, and Briscoe at +650. Other great drivers like Ryan Blaney (+550) and Christopher Bell (+750) are among your possible NASCAR bets.
Following a 35-race season, four drivers on two teams, Joe Gibbs Racing (Hamlin and Briscoe) and Hendrick Motorsports (Larson and Byron), will battle it out at the Championship 4.
“To get to the Round of Four is just so hard. So now we got one race,” Gibbs said this week on NASCAR news. “We know what we’re up against: somebody that’s really, really good. Two cars in there for them. Two for us.”
NASCAR predictions can also be found on the pages of BetUS, as well as a comprehensive auto racing betting menu throughout the year. Let’s review the four drivers slated to compete in NASCAR’s version of the Round of Four and find out how they got here and why.
Denny Hamlin (+300) – Joe Gibbs Racing
At age 44, Hamlin believes this could be his final bite at the apple to bring the one, and most important, accolade to his Hall of Fame career, a NASCAR championship. Hamlin has won 60 Cup races during his storied career and six this season, more than any other competitor in the Championship 4.
William Byron (+430) – Hendrick Motorsports
Byron is the youngest of the quartet at 27, but he is gunning to become the first driver since 2013 to win both the Daytona 500 and the NASCAR Cup Series championship in the same year. If he succeeds, he would become only the sixth driver to do so and would share that tribute with Hall of Famers Jimmie Johnson, Lee Petty, Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, and Jeff Gordon.
Kyle Larson (+450) – Hendrick Motorsports
The 33-year-old Kyle Larson is looking to add a second Cup championship to his mantle after winning his first in 2021. He is the only driver of the four to have such a distinction, and a second championship would make him only the third Hendrick Motorsports driver to win more than one, putting him in that rarified air with Gordon (four championships) and Jimmie Johnson (seven championships).
Chase Briscoe (+370) – Joe Gibbs Racing
Chase Briscoe had some big shoes to fill when taking over the No. 19 Toyota following the retirement of 2017 Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr.
During the first half of the season, he was clearly getting to know his car, but in the second half, the two had clearly become acclimated as Briscoe secured the pole position in six events, one below his career high of seven, and roared to three wins and 10 top-five finishes.
NASCAR Betting Tips For This Race
Although millions of racing fans would cherish the opportunity to watch veteran Denny Hamlin add the crown jewel of racing accomplishments to his prodigious legacy, it is important to bet with your head and not your heart.
The NASCAR betting odds reveal Chase Briscoe as the long shot on the board simply because he had a bumpy road in the first half of the season. But this is the final event of the season, and we must take into account his recent form.
However, it is also important to consider how these drivers fared at Phoenix Raceway on March 9th of this year when Christopher Bell crossed the finish line first. Of course, Bell is not one of the Championship 4 competitors, but we do know that Denny Hamlin finished second, Kyle Larson was third, William Byron was sixth, and Chase Briscoe finished a distant 35th.
Lastly, understand that anything can happen in the rough-and-tumble world of NASCAR racing, which is why crashes play a pivotal role in the final standings. Unfortunately, there is no crystal ball to predict such events, so make sure to wager responsibly.
