MLB Preseason Odds - Bet on Baseball Before the Season Starts

The 2026 MLB Spring Training is underway, and it wonโ€™t be long before the Boys of Summer return to the diamond for regular-season action. BetUS has already posted MLB preseason odds on each spring training game and has an extensive list of MLB futures as the chill of winter gives way to the warmth of springtime and the promise that it brings.

When does the MLB Regular Season Start?

The 2026 championship campaign opens Wednesday, March 25. Betting odds take center stage on Opening Night, with early Giants vs Yankees lines giving you a first look at the moneyline and total for the season opener at Oracle Park.

MLB Preseason Odds | Bet on Baseball Games

As the seasons change, so too do the sports we watch, and springtime may seem like a long way away in the cold-weather states, but baseball spring training has begun in more hospitable climes, and it wonโ€™t be long before the teams are playing the games for real.

BetUS has an entire section devoted to MLB picks in which some of the sharpest baseball handicappers share their insights and provide detailed analysis of the teams and the games throughout the season.

This section also explains the many bets that can be made on MLB odds, including wagers on the moneyline, run line, totals (over/under), parlays, and even same-game parlays.

Moneylines

Seasoned MLB bettors know that moneyline picks are simply choosing the winner, with all bets based on a $100 wager. Therefore, if the Dodgers are -140 and their opponent, the Mets, are +120, this means that a bettor must risk $140 to win $100 on the Dodgers, while a $100 bet will win $120 on the underdog Mets. But bettors can risk more or less than $100 on baseball bets at BetUS; the denomination of risk and reward is simply a derivative of a $100 bet.

Run Lines

As for run lines, they act the same as a point spread that is common in football. Often, the run lines allow bettors to bet the favorite -1 ยฝ runs, while the underdog will get a +1-run head start. If the favorite wins the game by one run (2-1, for example), bets on the favorite will lose while those who bet on the underdog +1 run will “push,” meaning it is a tie and no money exchanges hands.

Of course, if the favorite wins by two runs or more, bets on the favorite will win, while underdog bets with +1 will lose. Conversely, if the underdog wins the game outright, the run line of +1 would signal a winner for underdog bettors as well as those who bet on the underdog using the moneyline.

Totals

MLB lines also include totals, commonly referred to as over/under betting. This is simply the designated number of runs scored in a game, including extra innings. All one must do is add the score of the two teams when the game is finished and compare it to the total they bet.

For example, if a total is nine, then the bettor has an opportunity to wager over or under nine runs. Should the game end in a score of 5-4 (equaling 9), then it is a push, and bettors on both sides (the over and under) would get their investment back without a profit.

However, if the final score adds up to more than nine (6-4, for example), all those who wagered over nine would win their bets, while all those who bet under nine would lose. The opposite is also true: if the final score adds up to less than nine (6-2, for example), those betting under nine would win their bets, while those betting over nine would lose.

Props, Parlays, and Live Betting

BetUS offers a wide range of MLB props, ranging from a player hitting a home run in a specific game to futures that enable bettors to wager on the AL and NL MVP at the end of the season.
Parlays simply increase the reward for those willing to bet on two or more โ€œlegsโ€ wrapped in one bet. The more legs that win, the higher the payout. Parlay calculators are available so that bettors can understand how much their wager will pay off should it win.

Naturally, the chances of winning decrease with multiple wagers, but the reward increases significantly should all legs be scored winners. Additionally, the number of legs that lose in a parlay does not affect the bettor’s risk; they only lose the amount they originally wagered. Therefore, if a $10 parlay loses one or more legs, the only loss will be the cost of the bet, which in this case amounts to $10.

Live betting has soared in popularity as BetUS allows its customers to bet on the game while it is happening. Anything from the next pitch being a ball or a strike to adjusted moneylines, run lines, and totals is a possibility concerning in-game wagering.

The feature allows customers to seize the opportunity should they detect a shift in momentum while the game is occurring.
